The cleanliness was poor. There were still hairs all over the bathrooms and the surfaces hadnt been wiped down properly.

Location

The apartment should have adequately cutlery for cooking, the dining table was out off shape. It was a cold night. We rang the manager to asked for a blanket. its arrived next afternoon. Very dodgy cleaning, no shampoo was provided. Very disappointed. A big NO for return

The view

There were no bathrobes, washing machine/drier or ironing facilities as advertised. There were 4 mismatched champagne flutes and tumblers, no proper wine glasses. The room was much smaller than indicated in pictures. I asked for extra towels and only recieved 4 (4 of us staying) we had 3 half rolls of toilet paper provided. There was no cleaning product for the dishwasher. ( thankfully a dairy right next door) I felt this property provided less than the basics and have stayed at other properties that provided alot more for similar price.

Location was really good.

The floor our apartment was on smelled like gas/LPG which was quite concerning. Would have been nice to have had two keys as our room slept four people. There were no clear instruction sent about where exactly to go, if there was parking, what floor we were on, etc. We had to get in touch with the host and wait for them to come down to and take us up to their personal room to pay.

What would you highlight about Hi Home Park Apartment

An average place for an average city.

All necessary amenities were available. Fairly clean and organised place that we had to ourselves. Quiet and easy to access. Good location in the heart of Auckland city.

There was a bad smell in the room. I think this was due to poor drainage. There were some facilities that needed repairing. The bedroom window latch was broken and would not close fully. I alerted the property manager but they didn’t offer to fix this or even look at it. The check in process is super weird. They just take you to a messy apartment on level 5 to do the bond and signing. The apartments have no thermostat or air conditioning which is so odd for a building like this. Had to ask for a portable heater as it was cold. The second “bedroom” is more of a study they have converted so there is only just space for the bed and nothing else.

Good view and value for money

Good size, comfy bed, overall clean and fantastic view of the Sky Tower.

No reception so checking in and out feels a bit sketchy. Rang to be polite and let them know we were checking out early and it was clearly a problem and made us feel guilty. Also had to give the toilet a quick clean myself.

Easy check-in/booking process, great staff, great views, great value, great location... AWESOME!

The staff were so helpful and on call 24/7 to answer any questions or requests, very polite also.

There was no remote in the room for the air conditioning unit during our stay there.

Unfinished building - frustrating check in.

Location was awesome! Modern room and furnishings.

Arrived - Could not get hold of the host, was getting worried it was all a scam. Finally host arrives . Booked a 2brm apartment based on pics on the site. Was shown to a very small 2 bdrm, that was not like the pics at all! Pushed the point regarding false advertising etc and was eventually given a room indicative of the room I booked. The actual building feels unfinished and partially unsafe? Hard to describe unless your there. Carpets had stains, windows dirty, which was unfortunate considering the position/views. Took around 2 weeks and a few messages to get my bond returned.

The staff were unhelpful especially about the car parking. It was freezing and it had no heater or extra blankets. When I mentioned it the next day all they said was ‘it’s winter’!!

Amazing views & great penthouse. Staff were a little difficult to deal with but good value for $!

the amazing views of the Harbour!

1. A little bit of broken glass on the balcony. 2. Heatpump/AC doesn't work 3. We had some confusion with staff on which card I used to make payment with - I had to sign a receipt for the $200 bond, which wasn't actually showing the card I paid with. The staff's English wasn't the greatest so it was hard to explain to them that I won't be signing a receipt for someone else's credit card, After about 20 minutes of discussion, they finally understood and the situation was sorted. However, check in was delayed by 90 mins.
